SGA is separated into 4 committees which each has its own goal to fulfill the overall goal of SGA. Each committee is led by an executive board member and each committee has approximately 10 or more congress members. Every congress member is required to be a part of at least one committee to keep all those within SGA informed about what each committee is doing. The executive board members discuss what it occurring in their committee during the SGA congress meeting committee reports.
1. Public Relations
The public relations committee is led by the Public Relations Director.The goals of the committee are to advertise SGA and SGA’s clubs, programs, activities and events throughout campus. The Public Relations committee meetings are held on Thursdays from 3:00 P.M. – 4:00 P.M.
The finance committee is led by the Finance Director. The goals of the finance committee are to prepare the SGA budget for the following year, uphold SGA financial procedures and recommend allocations to Congress for auxiliary requests. The finance committee meetings are held on Fridays from 3:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M.
3. Student Concerns
The student concerns committee is led by the vice president. The goal of the student concerns committee is to represent the interest of Edinboro University students on all issues. The student concerns committee meetings are held on Wednesday’s from 4:00 P.M. – 5:00 P.M.
4. Constitutional Review
The Constitutional Review Committee is led by the Parliamentarian. The goals of the constitutional review committee are to review the SGA constitution for the purpose of recommending all necessary changes needed to be made to the constitution and to review all constitutions of prospective new organizations for the purpose of possibly recognizing them as an official student organization. The constitutional review committee meetings are held on Thursdays from 4:00 P.M. – 5:00 P.M.
